Books

John has two non-fiction works in progress. The first book is the story of the rise and fall of a small Texas S&L during the Savings and Loan crisis. The precursor to Enron and the continuing crisis on Wall Street, it’s a timeless tale of secret scheming and deception that demanded exceptional growth from a west Texas financial institution and the subsequent battles fought with Federal regulators for control.  Finding himself in the middle of a political tug of war, John’s struggle with right and wrong and his claim for core consciousness are commanding.

His second book concerns the day to day tests that each of us are continually faced with, grappling with behavior, relating it to our own personal standards of conduct, learning from the process that the impact of your ethical decisions can have lasting consequences on your career and your life.
